Sister Whitney Aston!!!

My cute sister Whitney got her mission call to Oakland California English speaking mission. Whitney goes to the MTC on January 21st! She is so excited- and we are proud of her but a little sad because we will miss her. She is so ready to serve the Lord and go teach the Californians. We love you Whitney! You are such a good example and we know you will be blessed for the great decisions that you have made.

HaPPy HaLLoWeen!!!

Daddy carved Tyler an Elmo Pumpkin

Here we are at the ward Halloween Party- Tyler is a cowboy, Scott and Ashley- our annual witch and dracula.

Tyler wasnt sure why you need to touch the inside of a pumpkin.

Tyler with a mouth full of candy.

This year for Halloween Tyler dressed up like a Cowboy- he was so cute! He
still is always wearing his cowboy hat. Our ward had a trunk or treat and a dance which Tyler loved! He is such a dancer- he danced the whole time and loved it. On Halloween night we took him to another trunk or treat and a couple houses in my moms neighborhood and he has enough candy to last him till next Halloween. I think I can safely say Tyler loves Halloween!

Lake Powell 2008

The Crew: Left to Right Ashley, Devin, Ryan, Sampson, Kaden, Patrick, Candace, Whitnie, Belle, Mark, Tim, Andrea, Kamryn, Lexi, Dave, Scott, Tyler, Ashley. Shalynn, Spencer and Kody are not in the pic :(
We went to Lake Powell the weekend of September 17th. We camped in a sandy beach across from Lone Rock at Wahlweep. There was about 19 of us-all really good friends some that live in Vegas that we dont get to see very much. Tyler had so many friends to play with, starting early in the morning we could find him in the water-even before the sun was out. Scott took him out for his first kneeboarding ride. He loves the water so much he would cry when we made him get back in the boat. We had so much fun! Thanks to all of our friends that made it so much fun- I just wish we could have stayed a little longer! We are definantly in for next year!

Check out the slideshow.

Aston Campout

Every year in September my cute parents have a campout in the backyard for the grandkids. We put up tents and build a campfire. My brother has a movie projector so we all sit around the campfire and make S'mores and watch a movie. Its a fun tradition and the kids love it! Thanks Mom and Dad in Tyler's words Ma Ma and Poppa!

Camping

We went camping at 5 Mile Pass this weekend with our friends the Townsends. We had so much fun! Tyler and Cody were best buddies and played so well together. Tyler loves fourwheeling and could not get enough!

Bowling Dance

We went bowling on Friday with my mom, Alisa and sister Tiffany. Tyler was so funny because he would get so excited after each turn and would break out in a dance. We like to call the bowling dance! He cracks me up!

Roastin' Mallows

One of our favorite things this summer is making S'mores. A coulple of nights ago we were at home and were craving them so Scott and Tyler hooked us up with a make-shift fire and roasted some up in our backyard. Tyler
had a blast!

Tiffy's Trauma!

My cute little sister Tiffany went to her first YWs camp this week she left Tuesday and was scheduled to come home on Thursday. She was so excited! Thursday afternoon I received a call from my sister Whitney saying that Tiffy was in a boat accident. I guess when she was wakeboarding she hit a wave really hard and decided to get back in the boat. As soon as she sat down she was unresponsive and her left side was drooping and she was mumbling and couldn't sit or stand. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Heber.Upon arrival she was lifelighted to Primary Children's Hospital because they were worried about possible bleeding on her brain. Before she was taken in the helicopter Phylis, our neighbor that was with her at the time, found two return missionaries to give her a priesthood blessing. When she was loaded on she didnt even know her name and when they landed she was answering questions and knew what was going on. She was kept the night for observation. They diagnosed her with a really bad concussion, the CAT scan was clear. She came home yesterday and now is doing really good.

What a complete miracle! We were so scared and thought we might lose our little Tiffy! We are so thankful for the priesthood and we know that it was Heavenly Father who blessed us with her recovery! It's these experiences that we know the gospel is true and if we have faith miracles do happen!
We love you Tiffy! or in Tyler's words Ni-Ni!

What happens in Vegas...

We took a trip to Vegas the weekend of the 24th to Vegas. Most of you probably know that we lived there for 2 years and some of our closest friends live there still. So went down and stayed with our friends Mark and Whitnie. Our friends the Stevens were able to come with us Ryan was actually working in Vegas so we took Kathryn and Cecily with us down to meet him there. After the 6 hour ride with a 1 year old and a 2 year old sitting right next to each other (what were we thinking). We finally got there and had a blast hanging out with everyone. We went to Lake Mead on Friday which was such a blast! Everyone had fun wakeboarding and my specialty is the tube. We jumped in the lake about every 30 minute so we didnt get heat stroke which I think the kids loved the best. On Saturday the girls went shopping - without the kids which is heaven! We also got to eat at some of our favorite yummy places that we miss not living close to Buffalo Wild Wings ( if your a Vegas local you call it B Dubs) and Cheesecake Factory (without a 4 hour wait). We had so much fun we wish we could spend more time with our friends!! Were just lucky its only 6 hours away. Thanks so much to Mark and Whitnie and Tim and Andrea for letting us crash your weekend.

We love Summer!!!

Can we just say we love Summer! We love being able to go hang out in the awesome weather. Our new favorite thing is to go to the splash park in Herriman. Tyler loves to play with chalk on the sidewalk, run through the sprinklers and ecspecially loves to eat otter pops. We are going to be so bummed when summer is gone.

Tyler's First Dentist Experience

We took Tyler to his first dental appointment a week ago. We went to the coolest dentist office it had a carousal in the waiting room and the toy room was a giant shark's mouth. He loved the office but didn't want to open his mouth which makes it hard to check out his teeth. It went pretty well, as well as it could with a two year old. The dentist said his teeth looked great!

Boatin'

About 2 weeks ago we went boating at Utah lake with some friends. Tyler loved it! Just like is dad.

Our Buddies Turning 2!

Tyler Turned 2 the end of June! I cant believe how big he is getting. I really think 2 is the funnest and the hardest age at the same time. We had a fun party that his family and friends were able to come to. We had brownies cupcakes and of course a fire engine pinata. Tylers favorite thing is bikes and fourwheelers so I made him a fourwheeler cake. I still cant beleive that my baby is 2.

The Best of Company

We had such a fun time on our cruise with memories to last a lifetime. We know it was because we had such a fun crew up for having fun any time of the day. Thanks guys for such a fun time. Scott keeps asking when our next ones gonna be.

Pole Holding

This is the funniest thing, Patrick showed us how to hold ourselves on the post- so some of us tried but couldnt quite make it look like Patrick.

Skin Boarding

Scott's favorite thing to do while we were at the beach is learning to skin board-he got pretty good at it.

Look at all of us looking good... It was fun to see everyone all dressed up..

Cruise

There we all are at dinner our favorite place to be...

Cruise

We got all dressed up for formal night- its fun playing dress up once and awhile...

So we thought we were awesome rolling down the freeway in LA! We think were the coolest.
